Lesson Overview from Sunday, June 27th

The lesson was from Elder David A. Bednar's talk "Watching with All Perseverance"
Three basic components to help parents in Zion to be watchful and discerning concerning their children.
(1) reading and talking about the Book of Mormon with your children,
(2) bearing testimony of gospel truths spontaneously with your children,
(3) inviting children as gospel learners to act and not merely be acted upon.
Parents who do these things faithfully will be blessed to recognize early signals of spiritual growth in or challenges with their children
and be better prepared to receive inspiration to strengthen and help those children.

Relief Society Summer Reading Challenge

Relief Society Summer "Feast"-
on the Book of Mormon!

Our goal is to read 1,000 chapters in the Book of Mormon by September (that only breaks down to 2 chapters a week per person!!). We'll have a chart outside the Relief Society room and each week you can come by and chart your own chapters!!

Food for thought-
President Benson gave us these promises if we read the Book of Mormon: You will find greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid deception. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow path. These promises—increased love and harmony in the home, greater respect between parent and child, increased spirituality and righteousness—these are not idle promises...."

Happy reading everyone!!!
